Kaman Gets All-Star Nod Over Boozer

Kaman Gets All-Star Nod Over Boozer

February 8, 2010 in Featured, News 4 Comments

I will admit  that Chris Kaman has played quite well so far this season, but after NBA.com reported Chris Kaman would get Brandon Roy’s replacement spot, I thought I’d do a quick comparison of Chris the Caveman and Booze.

|                 FG      RBG    APG   SPG   BPG     PPG

Kaman:  .497  |   9.0   |   1.9   |   .6   |   1.4   |   20.2

Boozer:  .545  |  10.8  |    3.2  |  1.1  |   .5     |   19.2

The stats are pretty close between the two, but I would venture to say Carlos’ are slightly better. However, I think you can’t discount the following stat:

Clips: 21-29

Jazz:  31-18

I wonder if Carlos has enough nasty in him this year to drop a bomb on the Clippers tomorrow. I personally don’t see Carlos as that type of guy, but if he proves me wrong and goes all Deron in LA, that would further signal this year’s Carlos is different.

I guess if you’re looking for a sliver lining, you have to at least feel a little feel happy that this guy…

…has become an NBA All Star.

Kinda gives the rest of us some sort of hope, right?

I've been a Jazz fan for well over two decades now, and I can safely say that my fandom only grows with each passing year. Yes, the Jazz have the power to ruin my mood for longer than I should probably allow, but they have also been responsible for some of the fondest memories I've had throughout the course of my life. To those of you who have found the ability to read through any of my long-winded Jazz rants in their entirety, I say a fond and sincere thank you.

I actually am pretty excited Kaman is an all-star over Boozer. Just look at the guy. He physically deserves it. Plus, we tend to forget how big of a d-bag Boozer is, just because his play at the moment drowns it out. Kaman was selected because coaches don’t want to be around an asshole. Bye.

Very funny comment anonymous, but how is Kaman deserving just because he has a better attitude? The all-star game is based on stats, skill and most importantly your team’s record.

Im kind of with anonymous, but yes boozer does deserve it. Watching the game last night Boozer had 34 points and 14 rebounds and Kaman only had 19 points and 7 rebounds.

Anon is a fool. All this bitter Boozer bashing (how’s that for some alliteration?) is just tired. Karl Malone was hounded his whole career for being a “d-bag” – I love Jazz fans, but they are an awfully myopic bunch when it comes to sports stars in their town.
